ReplyDeleteThe E. J. Hamrick listed here was probably my Great-Uncle or Great-Grandfather (both were named Edward Jasper.) From the date it could have been either, though my great-grandfather would have been a little old and my great uncle would have been a little young.
My dad never talked about his side of the family much, though I know he had an uncle in Kansas he adored. If the family rumors are correct, he owned a bar (which probably explains why he was my dad's favourite.)
Or possibly my great uncle was Earl Jasper instead of Edward Jasper. It was a long time ago and my memory is not what it used to be.
